Yesterday, September 25, 2024 we posted a story about the content of a public meeting of the Hopkinton Town Council, held on September 6, 2024 - and related background. At that meeting the condition of a house owned by a seated Hopkinton Town Council member was discussed publicly and by the entire council.

We believe that business transacted at that meeting and the actions of the council are both relevant and newsworthy.  As one of three towns that comprise the Chariho Regional School District, the actions of all three councils are relevant to Richmond taxpayers.  However, many readers felt that the coverage, as such, was inappropriate, and therefore, we made the decision to remove the story from both Facebook and our website.
